Each year we take a day to honor and celebrate the great leaders who have upheld our values and guided the country through some very tough times, each has endeavored to put country ahead of personal glory and leave the world just a small bit better.
Will history show this President was the first to be installed by a foreign power to destroy the USA? Easily the single most powerful person in the world but instead of lifting the powerless and modeling our values, he cowers in the dark like a frightened mouse railing against the past which no one can change. The only people who still don’t see this Emperor has no clothes are those living on the totalitarian Pablum spewed by Fox news.
Today new leaders have emerged from unimaginable tragedy to find their voice and speak for the future. Young adults, still in high school, give us a vision of the future that is vibrant and inclusive. They radiate our values and know there are no non-solvable problems, only those for which we have yet to enact a solution.
I hear a new call for all generations to stand together and continue the quest for a healthy, rewarding life, liberty to add our uniqueness to collage of America, and pursue happiness for ourselves and all humanity.
